CLIMATE

This part of southern Chile has a temperate rainy climate. The marine influence means that temperatures are stable and it prevents them from sinking to extreme levels of cold, thus allowing the evergreen forest to cover the entire surfaceof the island.

The rainiest months are May and August, producing 45% of annual precipitation. However, in the summer rainfall drops considerably in both quantity and in frequency, while average
daytime temperatures reach 20° C / 68º F. The summer is the ideal time to visit the island, as the weather conditions allow you to undertake multiple open-air activities.
